Parents wanting more information to help them make a decision about whether or not to have their children vaccinated against COVID-19 are invited to register to view a webinar. It is described as a unique opportunity for parents to ask questions, share their ideas and concerns, and to get their questions answered.
During the webinar, panelists including United States Deputy Secretary of Education Cindy Marten, along with representatives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics, will join Vito Borrello of the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement for a series of presentations and constructive conversation to support parents and families as they consider the COVID-19 vaccine for their children.
Topics will include:
● How was the vaccine developed?
● How many children participated in the study for approval?
● Will my children be safe taking the vaccine?
● What are the side effects?
● Should my children get the vaccine?
● Where can I take my child to get the vaccine?
Register here to view the webinar at 7 p.m. Central on Thursday, December 9, 2021.
Bartlesville Public Schools does NOT require COVID-19 vaccinations, and the district does not expect parents to solicit medical or vaccination advice from district staff. This webinar information was shared with the district by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. If you still have questions about vaccination, we urge you to contact a pediatrician you trust.
