The 71st annual Bartlesville District Science Fair was held February 10-11 at the Phillips 66 Research Center. Dozens of district middle and high school students earned awards, including scholarships, cash prizes, and opportunities for further competition at the state and international level.
34 district students' projects were selected to advance to the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair at Oklahoma State University in March. Those students' names are in boldface in the results linked above, and italicized entries are alternate selections.
Three projects were selected for higher competition at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which will be held in Dallas in May. Ingeyla Ghori will present "Hydroponic methods", Fin Salerno will present "Preventing food waste by testing the effectiveness of preservatives", and Saskia Pehmoeller will present "The window to the soul". Projects by Will Dorris and Cade Winter were selected as alternates to the international fair.
Many science professionals and enthusiasts volunteered to make the 2023 Bartlesville District Science Fair possible, with support from various corporate, professional, and community sponsors.
