Many students were recognized at yesterday's regular Bartlesville Board of Education meeting at the Education Service Center who qualified for higher levels of competition in science fair, track, girls and boys golf, tennis, and soccer.
The following students competed in the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair: Mehdi Achour, Jackson Boudreaux, Emerson Casey, Rachel Cochran, Will Dorris, Adrianne Flick, Gargi Ghadigaonkar, Emilee Hancock, Lauren Lee, Ethan Lino, Emma Mattke, Tymber McCall, Adit Paul, Fin Salerno, Gentry Turner, Kathryn Vilardo, Addison Williams, Joyce Yang. Mehdi Achour, Rachel Cochran, and Joyce Yang also represented BPS at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta Georgia this month.
Lady Bruins Golf Coach Carl Holmes introduced the team Grace Lumpkin, Campbell Craig, Lisa Brown, Taylor Price, and Emilyn Rainbolt, who finished 5th in the 6A State Tournament and won the 6A State Academic Championship.
Track Coach David Ayres introduced both the boys and girls teams who were named 6A Academic State Champions and the 23 State qualifiers: Dayton Austin (4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay), Campbell Barta (200, 400, Long Jump, 4x200 Relay), Kadance Barnett (100, Long Jump, 4x200 Relay), Kade Bostwick (Pole Vault), Lexi Burton (Discus), Tehi Chibbitty (4x800 Relay), Noah Darnell (4x400 Relay), Parker Fielder (4x400 Relay), Reed Gorman(4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay), Evan Gunter (4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay), Ragen Hodge (High Jump), Maggie Jackson (Pole Vault), Gage Keaton (4x400 Relay, 4x800 Relay), Zoe McCabe (4x400 Relay), Ledi Mull (Pole Vault), Chloe Robbins (4x200 Relay), Lauren Shoesmith (4x400 Relay), Nick Smith (High Jump), Jaiden Stevenson (Shot, Discus), Gentry Turner (800, 4x400 Relay), Quincey Turner (Pole Vault), Jack Wahl (High Jump), Morgan Wasemiller (4x200 Relay).
Bruin Golf Coach Jeff Rude introduced Tanner John and his accomplishment of making it to the State Championship.
Bruin Tennis Coach Bryan Reese introduced the middle school and high school tennis teams. The girls team finished 1st at State.
Bruin Soccer Coach Brandon Willis introduced the team and highlighted their accomplishments.
